Girl 6 years were killed Saturday night after a car hit him and a friend of the family 16 years since they were crossing the street in a crosswalk on the South side of Chicago.
Diamond Robinson was struck about 8: 20 am near the intersection of 70 and Loomis in the city of Englewood neighborhood, Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Driver Thomas Young, 36, was reported heading south on Loomis before attacking the pair. Young reportedly was out of the car and held Diamond until paramedics and police arrived on the scene. 16-year-old girl with a young girl during the collision of sustained a broken arm.
Diamonds, Brownell ELEMENTARY SCHOOL class, was pronounced dead about two hours later at advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Families remember Diamond as a “very happy.” She loves dolls, cakes and sweets, the Tribune reports. Emergency warning dedicated in her memory has been erected at the scene tragic collision.
